According to a Christian leader from Zamfara state, who wishes to remain anonymous, churches have been given "a three-year ultimatum to close all churches in the state."

He goes on to explain the protocol put in place following these threats.

“State police have ordered Christians to increase security in all places of worship, pastors' homes and other Christian centers. The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Zamfara State has also ordered all churches not to hold religious activities beyond 17 p.m. for the next three months. "

He calls for prayer to Christians all over the world.
