Tomorrow, world day for the rejection of poverty

The 2020 World Day for Overcoming Poverty will take place tomorrow, Saturday, October 17.

Officially recognized by the UN since 1992, the world day for the denial of poverty is organized every year on 17 October by the association ATD Fourth World.

This year the theme is "Acting together to win social and environmental justice for all"

In a 1 minute 22 spot, the ATD Quart-Monde association offers a metaphor around cycling: “Together, let's get back on the handlebars, let's change direction! »Proclaims the poster of the event.

“With its two wheels that can symbolize the wheel of social justice and the wheel of environmental justice, the bicycle illustrates by its very resistant chain, the strength of the collective in the face of the unacceptable that poverty represents. "

This day is celebrated every year around the world. In France, events will take place across the country.
