"Taybeh, the last Christian village in Palestine" awarded by l'Oeuvre d'Orient

This summer, the editorial staff recommended reading a book dedicated to a Christian village in the heart of the Palestinian territories, Taybeh, the last Christian village in Palestine.

Ln May 25, this book obtained the literary prize of the Eastern Work, which rewards each year one or two works for the general public dealing with hope with the situation of Christians in the East. The prize was presented to its authors, Falk Van Gaver and Kassam Maadi, today at the end of the Mass for the Oeuvre d'Orient at Notre-Dame de Paris, by Cardinal André Vingt-trois.

According to the professor of theology and member of the jury Antoine Fleyfel, for the journal La Croix :

The jury particularly liked the simple way in which the daily life of the inhabitants is rendered, as well as the dimension of hope of the book, which evokes inhabitants looking to the future.
