Since the start of the school year, the National Council of Evangelicals of France has stepped up its actions and mobilized to better explain the impact of the law reinforcing respect for the principles of the Republic on evangelical churches.
The law confirming respect for the principles of the Republic was adopted by Parliament on August 23. This law, which has aroused great concern among representatives of cults, modifies the law of 1905 concerning the separation of Church and State.
In order to facilitate the application and understanding of this new law, the National Council of Evangelicals of France has set itself the task of preparing information and support tools for its members.
After a webinar which took place yesterday, Thursday September 16, and which brought together more than 750 pastors and church leaders, the CNEF publishes today several infographics to better understand the application of the law.
In three images, the evangelical organization intends to summarize the new obligations with regard to statutes, resources, penalties and accounting.
Three other images are dedicated to new steps to be taken for churches with the prefecture, with the prefecture via the town hall and with the tax administration.
A seventh image is dedicated to works and other non-cult associations (1901 law).
For more information, visit the Dropbox provided by the National Council of Evangelicals of France, where several detailed infographics are available for download. You will also find details there concerning the police of the cults envisaged by the law.
The CNEF specifies that several “application decrees are expected in the coming months, this content is not exhaustive”.
