Samian, Christian rapper, receives “Artist for Peace” of the year award in Montreal

Samian, the Canadian Christian rapper, just received the award Artist for peace of the year, at Montreal City Hall.

THEa multi-talented Métis artist claims his origins which date back to the first Amerindian peoples. It remains particularly sensitive to the problems of integration and rejection of other cultures. His texts speak of the Algonquins of Abitibi and of the rapprochement between Quebecers and the first peoples of North America.

“This kind of honor only comes once in a lifetime. I accept it with humility. "

Samian became known in the 2000s by making videos. He then distinguished himself by rapping texts evoking reconciliation and respect for human rights. He is now continuing his artistic journey with photography.

Baptized in 2013, Samian, today uses his talents to bear witness to his faith with strength and conviction.
