Ravi Zacharias International Ministries spoke following the allegations of sexual harassment made against Pastor Ravi Zacharias who died on May 19.
Dn a text published on their site, the board of directors of Ravi Zacharias International Ministries said he was "deeply saddened" by the allegations made against the deceased pastor. However, the council said it took these accusations "seriously" and indicated that it wanted to "submit to an investigation".
“Having learned of the latest allegations against the late Ravi Zacharias, we are deeply saddened. These don't match up with the person many of us have known for decades. We take any accusation of this nature extremely seriously and have chosen to submit to an independent investigation.
To this end, we recently commissioned Miller & Martin, a law firm specializing in this area, to investigate the matter at hand, to the extent possible. As followers of Christ, we passionately believe that every person carries the image of God within them and abhor all sins of abuse.
The RZIM ministry is committed to fully submitting to this investigation, and we will make all of its results public.
Such an investigation will have to take the necessary time. We will not comment on any details of these allegations until our independent investigation has been completed ”.
At the end of this declaration, the Board of Directors launches a call to prayer and intercession for them and for "those affected by these allegations".
“We ask you to please carry us in your prayers, but also to join others to intercede on behalf of all those affected by these allegations. "
