On November 7, bishops, priests and faithful from all dioceses will meet with the aim of praying for victims of sexual abuse within the Church.
LThe information revealed by the Parisian is at the initiative of the bishops, in response to "the universal call of Pope Francis" of prayer and penance for victims of pedophilia within the Church. This event will take place 6 months after the establishment of the anti-pedophilia plan by the clergy.
The bishops will meet in plenary assembly in Lourdes on November 7, and will celebrate a mass “to ask for the forgiveness of sins”. They will then debate around the delicate is essential project to fight against pedophilia within the Church. The day will end with a time of prayer for the victims, during vespers.
The priests of all the dioceses have also been invited to organize times of meditation in their parish.
