For this scientist, nano-robots would allow man to become “like God”

Genetic engineering is gradually pushing back the frontiers of the possible and raising countless ethical questions. It is now the turn of nanotechnologies to be invited into the debates linked to what is now called transhumanism.

Lhe augmented man is on his way. For some philosophers and scientists, it will be possible to limitlessly improve the intellectual and physical faculties of humans. And for that, all means will be good. Chemistry, genetics, computer science, mechanics, and now nanotechnologies, because the final stage in this frantic race towards “augmented man” will pass through the physical fusion between man and computer networks.

That's what futuristic inventor Ray Kurzweil, director of engineering at Google, involved in the development of artificial intelligence announces. Humans will be able to develop physical and intellectual capacities, but also emotions of greater complexity thanks to the connection of their brains to computers.

“We're going to be funnier. We're going to be sexier. We will better express the feeling of love. ”

For the scientist, by the 2030s, human brains will be able to connect to the cloud. We could then send emails and photos directly to our brains, and make backups of our thoughts and memories. All this would be made possible by the use of nanorobots immersed in the heart of our brain.

According to him, the extension of our brains to these nanobots will only be a new stage in our evolution, as the use of the first tools once was.

“We are going to add more levels to the hierarchy of brain modules and create deeper levels of expression.”

He goes further by asserting that being connected to computers will make us “like God”.

“Evolution creates increasingly complicated, more competent, more creative structures and models, more capable of expressing high feelings… It is moving towards the qualities of God, who is described as having no limits… ”

“The beauty, love, creativity and intelligence in this world all come from the neocortex. So we are going to develop the neocortex of the brain and become more 'like God' ”.

Here then, all of humanity is once again faced with the impossible dream of becoming like God.

Then the serpent said to the woman, You shall not die. But God knows that the day you eat it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like gods, knowing good and evil.
Genesis 3: 4-5

To the king of ages, immortal, invisible, only God, be honor and glory, forever and ever! Amen!
