More than 30 villagers, including women and children, were killed in western Cameroon in a weekend attack by a rival ethnic group, the Presbyterian Church, a local NGO, told AFP on Monday. and a military source.
The massacre - with men, women and children burned and mutilated - was perpetrated on Saturday and Sunday in the village of Bakinjaw in the commune of Akwaya, close to the Nigerian border, the reverend assured AFP by telephone. A drama that took place in the South West region, one of the English-speaking regions of the country where for five years a deadly conflict rages between armed separatist groups and law enforcement.
