He said of him: "I am a man of little faith", yet Michel Delpech has never accused God for this cancer and its relapse. He died on January 2 at the age of 69.
Lhe life of Michel Delpech has always been centered on song, so what could be worse than not being able to sing? His faith, born of a “religious shock” in Jerusalem, sustained him throughout his terrible illness. The love of his family, the professionalism and kindness of the caregivers, friendship also carried him.
Extracts from his testimony:
“In this hospital room, for months, oddly enough, I have never been so peaceful. This “re-cancer” has not broken me: I believe it is growing me. "
“If anyone wants to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross and follow me”, says Jesus (Matthew 16:24). So I carry my cross and find out that it is the secret of joy.
