Church unveiled in Pakistan prison

“This newly built church will certainly allow Christian prisoners to pray and watch their lives, repent and change their lives, to the praise of God. "

For the first time in Pakistan's Sindh state, a church was opened in a prison. The Church of the King of Kings, built thanks to the NGO Angel Welfare Trust, was inaugurated on Monday.

Kazi Nazir Ahmed, inspector general of prisons in the Pakistani province of Sindh, hopes that "Christian prisoners will draw near to God", that their lives will be "transformed" and that they experience "peace of heart".

“This newly built church will certainly allow Christian prisoners to pray and watch their lives, repent and change their lives, to the praise of God. I hope that Christian prisoners will come closer to God, every religion teaches to live a good life and to live in peace with others. We pray that in this house of prayer the lives of Christian prisoners will be transformed and that in this structure the prisoners will experience peace of heart. "

The NGO Angel Welfare Trust, which made possible the construction of this church, is financed by a Christian deputy and police commissioner, Azhar Abdullah, and his family.
