Grégory Turpin lifts the veil on his own story and revisits the parable of the prodigal son

“Everything is erased, everything is forgiven, my missing child, welcome, here, it is at your place…”

Vhere are the last hopeful words of the new track from Gregory Turpin, "Clair Obscur ”, from the album “To change life". Throughout this intimate text, Grégory lifts the veil in an intense and poetic way on his own story, that of a prodigal son, forgiven and restored in Jesus, and whose journey resembles that of the young man in the parable.

After his conversion, Gregory felt a call from the Lord. He entered the Carmelite convent to do his novitiate, but circumstances led him to give up after a year. Disappointed, hurt, he finally launches into music and has unexpected success. He drowns in vain his discomfort and his despair in alcohol and drugs, which becomes his “best friend”… Until this return to the Father which will mark a new beginning in his life.

“All is erased, all is forgiven,
My missing child, welcome,
Here is your home… ”

Grégory also tells this story in an autobiographical work, “Clair Obscur”, available on the publisher's website. Part XNUMX.
