Shaken by the testimony of love of Christians, Syrian refugees and their children are converted

Many Syrian Muslim refugees who have fled their country discover Jesus through the love and compassion shown by the volunteers of Christian organizations in the refugee camps. The organization Christian Aid Mission, very present on the ground, tells how the Syrian refugees are converted and want their children to discover in turn the good news of the Gospel.

Chis year, more than 126.000 refugees entered Greece. In 2015, more than 500 landed on the island of Lesbos. Faced with the uninterrupted influx of migrants, several European countries have started to close their borders. Migrants remain stranded in Greece or Turkey, others die by the thousands hoping to cross the Mediterranean or the Aegean Sea.

According to a report by Christian Aid Mission , Christian relief groups are working tirelessly in these areas to help provide food, clothing and blankets for the new arrivals. They distribute weekly groceries to over 100 families.
A ministry team leader said their volunteers are able to communicate with Syrian, Iraqi and Kurdish refugees in their own languages. This allows them to share the love of Christ with all those people traumatized by their terrible experiences.

The mission leader recounts how one of the refugees, once wealthy and respected in his country, embraced the Christian faith after witnessing the kindness of Christian aid workers. The one we will call Saddam, to preserve him, approached a Christian humanitarian to speak to him.

“I'm looking for someone who can tell me about Jesus. "

“All Muslim countries have turned their backs on us. All Muslim nations have deprived us of our treasures. They taught us not to trust Christians, and taught us that they were liars. I am now in Greece, in the best place, with the best food for me and my children. I found a love that I had never seen. Please teach me ”.

He concludes by begging those in charge of the NGO to introduce Jesus to his children and to teach them.

And Saddam and his family are not isolated cases. Many other testimonies of conversions and transformed lives are reported by Christian Aid Mission.

The humanitarian emergency remains and the NGO is appealing for donations and volunteers, the scale of the task steadily growing.

“Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take possession of the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me to drink; I was a stranger, and you took me in; I was naked, and you clothed me; I was ill, and you visited me; I was in prison, and you came to me.
