Don't miss “the biggest gospel event in France” at the Folies-Bergères

The event promises to be, this year again, the biggest gospel event in France!

P
or its 13th edition, the Paris Gospel Festival is honoring a renowned artist, Smokie Norful, who will come to share the stage with the prestigious Total Praise choir, for the best of international gospel.

Smokie Norful, singer, musician and songwriter, is also senior pastor of the Victory Cathedral Worship Center in Illinois. Married and father of 3 children, his ministry focuses his efforts on humanitarianism, through a vision of encouragement to charity and volunteering called the “Give Yourself Away” initiative. Smokie Norful was also voted "Gospel Artist of the Year" in 2003 and 2004, then twice Grammy Award winner for Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album 2005, and Best Song of the Year 2015 with "No greater love".

Total Praise Mass Choir is for its part, the most important gospel formation in France, it totals nearly 200 choristers, with a clearly stated objective of reaching 500 members! Harmony, power and emotions are always present, as this choir is in constant search of authenticity and excellence. Standard bearer of the Paris Gospel Festival, Total Praise Mass Choir shared the stage with the greatest artists of American gospel: Kirk Franklin, Yolande Adams, Richard Smallwood, Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin, CeCe Winans, Deitrick Haddon, Byron Cage, Hézékiah Walker, Chevelle Franklyn, Wes Morgan ...

6000 people gathered at the Zénith in Paris in 2013, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Paris Gospel Festival, for the biggest Gospel concert ever organized in France!

And when we ask the founders of the choir, David and Jocelyne Goma to whom speaks gospel today:

“The gospel speaks to everyone and particularly to the youth who have taken hold of it as an expression of life and hope. In current moments of uncertainty and doubt about the future, only faith can give zeal and even guts to invent a tomorrow and avoid drowning. Gospel embodies the hope of a leap that is always possible. "

This is the message that David and Jocelyne want to convey more than ever:

“At a time when Paris will commemorate the attacks of November 13, 2015. If possible, we would like to invite officials from associations of families of victims. Because gospel is par excellence the song of solidarity. "
