Denzel Washington, famous and talented actor, son of a pastor, has often spoken of his faith in interviews or on various occasions.
IIt seems that at the age of 62, the actor and director decided to devote even more time and energy to serving the Lord and to serving others. In a lengthy interview for the TD Jakes Show, Denzel Washington left no room for doubt about his beliefs and his desire to serve.
“I wish to serve today… I don't need to be watched. I am here to serve God, I am here to serve my family…. ”
He also recalled that wealth and glory are fleeting and that God expects us to serve him with our talents whatever they may be.
“You will never see a moving truck behind a hearse. Whatever you have in life, you won't be able to take it with you. It doesn't matter what you have. What matters is what you do with what you have, with what God has given you. ”
Denzel also humorously urged Christians to persevere in prayer. He recently recounted having been carried in prayer during the filming of Fences.
“I pray that you put your slippers under your bed at night, so that you have to start the day on your knees to look for them, and that you take advantage of this position to say thank you.”
If Denzel Washington has already admitted to having made mistakes in his life, he testifies to God's faithfulness to him in all circumstances, and never misses an opportunity to testify of Jesus again.
