Debate on energy sobriety organized by the University Bible Groups and A Rocha France

This Monday, May 2, A Rocha France, an association that educates Christians on the environment, and the University Bible Groups are organizing an online debate between Jean-Marc Jancovici, president of the Shift Project, and the director of A Rocha, Jean- François Mouhot, on the theme: “CHow can energy sobriety be made acceptable? ".

Faced with the climate emergency, the energy transition is currently an absolute priority. However, although we know what we must do, that is to reduce our consumption of oil, coal and gas, we do not do it or do it too slowly because it is difficult to change our habits and give up our comfort.

In this context, how can we raise awareness, reach out and encourage our fellow citizens to change their way of life? and above all, how to make energy sobriety desirable or at least acceptable?

These questions at the heart of the news will be addressed during the debate organized this Monday at 19:30 p.m. between the director of A Rocha France, a Christian association for the protection of the environment, Jean-François Mouhot and the president of the Shift Project and specialist in energy and climate, Jean-Marc Jancovici.

A debate that will take place within the framework of the Veritas Forum of University Biblical Groups (GBU). The organization regularly organizes this type of conference-debate for students, as well as anyone who wishes to deepen their thinking on social issues.

The event will be broadcast online on YouTube from 19:30 p.m. and will also be available for replay on the A Rocha France website.
