Auction: Olivier Giroud and other AC Milan players offer autographed shirts to support Ukrainian refugees

French Connect, Alpha Italia and Alpha Poland launched an auction on Sunday of football shirts autographed by Olivier Giroud and other AC Milan players to support Ukrainian refugees.

On April 24, 2022, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) identified more than 5,23 million Ukrainians having been forced to flee their country taken by storm by Russian troops. A number that could reach 10 million if the war continues.

In Poland, one of the countries that massively hosts these refugees, churches are mobilizing to help them. French Connect, Alpha Italia and Alpha Poland have recently partnered to support some of these churches financially.

The three Christian organizations launched on Sunday an auction of football shirts signed by Olivier Giroud, who is a friend of French Connect and Alpha, as well as other AC Milan players like Theo Hernandez or Brahim Diaz.

“With my Milan teammates, we want to help as much as possible,” said Olivier Giroud in a video posted on Facebook when launching this initiative.

He adds that he wants to support churches that “help and offer hope, support and love to all refugees”.

“I'm counting on you to bid and to help us raise money,” concludes the world champion.

This auction will be open until Wednesday, May 18 at 22 p.m. and the funds raised will be sent directly to churches working with refugees in Poland.
