From prison, Asia Bibi forgives her persecutors on Christmas Day

On her seventh Christmas in detention, Asia Bibi, a Pakistani Christian imprisoned and sentenced to death for blasphemy, told her family who had come to visit her:

“Christmas is the celebration of the mercy of God. I forgive my persecutors, those who wrongly accused me, and I await their forgiveness. "

The mother of 5 children, who has become a symbol of suffering for her faith, also declares:

“Jesus heard my prayers and made it a happy day. I am excited and full of joy to meet my family today and celebrate Christmas with them. "

Asia also had a message of peace for the Muslims who were celebrating the birth of Prophet Muhammad on Christmas Day.
Currently awaiting the judgment of the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Asia Bibi asks Christians around the world to pray for her to find favor with justice.
