On August 29, while on patrol, Constance Lake sees two suspicious cars. One had a broken light. The other follows her closely. But the police officer then explains that he hears the voice of God telling him to let the first car go and stop the second.

A woman is driving. Constance Lake succeeds in obtaining her identity and discovers a sad reality. "It was a missing person from North Carolina," the police officer continued.

Brenda Thomas, 81, had disappeared from her home the day before.
