On June 29, the Christians of Yemişli, a village in the Turkish province of Mardin, wanted to meet on the occasion of the commemorations of the liturgical memory of Peter and Paul. But when they arrived at the cemetery, they discovered the desecration of the latter.
According to Assyrian International News Agency, tombs at least 1000 years old belonging to Assyrians were destroyed, the bones they contained were scattered.
