Texas pastor shot and killed while driving his car

Pastor Ronald K. Mouton Sr. of East Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Houston was fatally shot on Friday. His family pays tribute to a "gracious servant, leader and friend". 

The local media Click 2 Houston, reports the death of Pastor Ronald K. Mouton Sr., shot and killed Friday by another driver while he was driving his car.

Le houston police department indicates that according to witnesses, the shooter was driving a black sedan, but he has not yet been identified. Police say the pastor was the victim of a "road rage" incident.

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee told local media that she had known the pastor for many years. She describes a generous man passionate about his ministry.

The East Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where the pastor served for many years, issued a statement on Sunday sent by the family of the deceased which pays tribute to a “gracious servant, a leader and a friend”.

“Dr. Mouton was known and loved by many. If you knew him you could see that he was a gracious servant, leader and friend. As we begin to come to terms with the reality of his passing, we ask that you respect our family's privacy during this time. »

CBN News reveals that the 58-year-old pastor had been married for nearly 40 years to his wife, Suzanne Pollard-Mouton. He also leaves behind four children, 10 grandchildren, a twin brother, other brothers and sisters as well as the faithful of his church.
