Today we are in Colossians, chapter 3, verse 1: "If therefore you are raised with Christ, seek the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God." »
In chapter 3, here in Colossians, Paul explains what the behavior of a true Christian should be.
Being a Christian is not just a title, it comes with one of the most beautiful and great responsibilities: to be like Christ, as I have already shared in a previous Gospel. When we are resurrected in Christ, then we are called to live a new life. As Corinthians tells us, “All things old are passed away, behold, all things are become new. »
Let's leave the past where it is and look forward to all that God has in store for us. There is a real change in attitude, and our values are transformed as we desire to let the Lord live in us and shape us.
There is a new way of living since, as today's Gospel tells us: we seek things from above. We are no longer looking for things down here. Our first desire and goal is to please God. You know what ? To please God is to have a life of worship in all that one is and does. We want God's desires to become concrete in our daily lives.
Let's make sure there is a before and an after, and that our life speaks louder than our words when we make this decision to lead a new life in him.
