"He wanted the other kids to know that it's okay to be different because God makes us all special," says his mother, Amanda.

Wyatt Shield is a 6 year old boy who lives in Arkansas. Born with polydactyly, he has just published a book, and affirms it, “God makes all his people special”.

By publishing "Wyatt's Great Adventures with the Shriners", Wyatt wants to show that “little kids can do big things.” During a public reading of his book, Wyatt said "God makes all his people special in his own unique and awesome way", or "God made me different, and that's just awesome. I'm also looking forward to growing up."

"He wanted the other kids to know that it's okay to be different because God makes us all special," says his mother, Amanda.

The description in the book speaks to Wyatt's wisdom and servant heart. “To say we are proud of her gracious heart, her high goals and her determination is an understatement, amazed is more appropriate,” her parents say.

Born with 12 fingers, the young boy underwent surgery at the age of 1, and now has 10.
