The son of Pastor Timothy Keller issued a call to prayer on Monday for his father who is suffering from the side effects of his cancer treatment.

Two years ago, Timothy Keller, founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York, was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. In May, the pastor gave news of his health on Twitter, announcing in particular the reduction of his tumor.

He also revealed that he was going to start on June 1 an "immunotherapy trial at the National Cancer Center in Bethesda" in Maryland. A program "very promising to potentially cure cancer" according to the pastor who specified that it is a "rigorous and demanding" treatment.

On Monday, Tim Keller's son, Michael Keller, announced that his father was coping with the side effects of treatment and called for prayers for "his recovery" and "to guide the decisions of his doctors and medical team who continue to provide excellent care”.

“Thank you for the outpouring of love and support. We deeply need your prayers at this time,” he concluded.
