The organization ChinaAid deplores the fact that "whenever Christians refuse to register with an atheist government, the Communist Party treats them like animals".
In Zhongxing, Henan province in China, a house church was looted by law enforcement.
"Whenever Christians refuse to register with an atheist government, the Communist Party treats them like animals," laments ChinaAid on its Facebook page, "Henan Province police used the label of 'illegal organization' to destroy the Zhongxing Christian Church building".
The organization for persecuted Christians in China explains that a “ban notice was sent to the church and a seal was affixed to the front door”.
The decision was made by the Jinshui District Civil Affairs Bureau, which says the church is not officially recognized as a social organization. Under Section 35 of the Corporate Entities Registration and Administration Regulations, the church is therefore prohibited. The police were therefore authorized to destroy property and steal personal effects.
