How Justin Bieber evangelized the stewardess of his private jet
While boarding his private jet, Justin Bieber interviews a flight attendant. These questions will change this woman's life.
Victoria Mandylor was a flight attendant on the private jet of Justin Bieber. Upon entering his plane, the international star asked him simple questions about his faith. And her life was turned upside down.
Victoria is a Colombian who grew up in a Christian family. But her uncle's sexual abuse will turn her away from the faith, as she tells in "The Becket Cook Show".
"He took care of me from when I came to the United States until I was 17 and then he raped me. It went on for many years and he [mentioned] God to do what he was doing because that he knew that I believed in God."
The members of his family accuse him and accuse him of having seduced his uncle.
"It was pretty awful because I knew how wrong it was, but he was also very smart in convincing me that it was love, that love is good, that 'God is love' and that he loved me more than his own daughters. It was a horrible time in my life."
Her uncle is eventually sentenced to prison, but Victoria has lost her faith in God.
One day, while she is a stewardess in Justin Bieber's private jet, the latter questions her.
"He gets on board and the first thing he says to me is... 'Do you believe in Jesus Christ?' I just looked at him and said 'Excuse me?' and he said, 'Do you believe in Jesus Christ? Do you believe that he is the Son of God who was crucified and died for your sins? And do you know that you are forgiven?' And I was like, 'I'm very spiritual and I do a lot of meditation and stuff and maybe he existed'."
Justin Bieber continues the discussion by talking to him about Christian music.
"I have some songs that I want to share with you and you have to listen to them because when I listen to them I can feel the Holy Spirit in me."
These questions were the beginning of his path to God. Victoria will go to church in the days that follow, and convert. A month after they first met, Victoria is working on Justin Bieber's jet again. She explains to him that she has become a Christian. The star is delighted. They pray together.
For the air hostess, it was the simplicity of the message that had its effect. "I had never heard anyone say it so simply," she recalls. "'He is the Son of God. He died for you.' It's as simple as that. 'He died for you'."
