Greg Laurie gives glory to God for the 4500 baptisms of Pirate's Cove

"These are images from the largest baptism in US history that happened yesterday at Pirates Cove in Southern California. Thousands of people were baptized in just one day."

On Saturday, at Pirate's Cove Historic Site in southern California, more than 4500 people were baptized. A massive baptismal event hosted by Pastor Greg Laurie. The latter gave glory to God on his networks. "It was AMAZING! We give Him all the Glory," he said.

"People were lining up by the seawall. People came from all over the country and around the world! This may be the biggest baptism in American history, maybe in world history. God knows, but it was AMAZING! We give Him all the Glory."

Greg Laurie then called for God's blessing on their lives.

“God bless each of them as they stood this audience up for their fight in obedience to Jesus Christ in the waters of baptism!” On Twitter, evangelist Matt Brown bears witness to an "unprecedented event happening across the country".

"These are images of the largest baptism in US history that happened yesterday at Pirates Cove in Southern California. Thousands were baptized in a single day, made a public statement of their faith in Jesus and followed in obedience to Jesus to be baptized in water. The line to be baptized was half a mile long. People waited patiently for hours to publicly declare their faith in Jesus Christ This is an unprecedented move of God happening across the country, and people are desperately waiting for God to work in their lives and in our world."

Last May, this same Pirate's Cove site had hosted a previous mass baptism. 4166 people were baptized there on the occasion of Pentecost. It was at Pirate's Cove that Greg Laurie was baptized 50 years earlier, just like his wife. In 1970, this site had also seen great baptismal events.
