From uncertainty to certainty: you are loved and precious!
If sometimes you find it hard to believe in yourself or if you have doubts, then this verse of the day is for you! Open your heart and let God act. Let's read Colossians 3, verse 12: “God has chosen you, he wants you to be his and he loves you.
God chose you! You are not a mistake. You are not here by chance either. And if this verse can encourage you today to understand that God has chosen you because He believes in you and loves you, then thank you Lord!
I don't know how it is for you, but sometimes I think to myself that I would not choose myself for His work. I don't doubt God, but I so often doubt myself. I tell myself that I won't make it, that I don't have the shoulders or the skills.
I tell myself that I am not capable and that there are people much better than me to do things well for Him. Do you know this feeling? If so, then you are not alone, believe me! We are surely many to share this same feeling.
We tend to see everything that is wrong with us more quickly than the reverse. And yet… God chose us! He chose you because He believes in you! God believes in what He has placed in you to fulfill His perfect plan. So why do we doubt where God is sure of Him?
He knows you can do it. He knows what He has put in you and when He asks you to do something it is because He knows you can do it. He knows you can survive your ordeal, no matter how hard it is.
He knows you can climb that mountain in front of you. He knows you can stay faithful, so don't give in to temptation. He knows you can pick yourself up from your failure, so pick yourself up and keep going. He knows you're brave, so overcome your fear and don't let it crush you.
He knows you are wanted and loved, so silence those lies of the enemy that you are rejected and unloved. He knows the light He has placed in you, so shine! The day you understand all this, then you will be able to live with a heart full of tenderness, pity, a gentle and patient heart.
Because you are loved and chosen, because you belong to HIM, you can serenely pass on all that He has given you. Take this time today to take stock. When was the last time you doubted yourself?
When was the last time you didn't believe in yourself or put yourself down? Seize this hand extended by God with this verse and understand that if He believes in you and has chosen you, then you too can believe in yourself and serve Him with all your heart.
Let's pray: Father, thank you for choosing me. Thank you because you love me. Thank you because I am yours. Do what you want with my life. Do what you want in me and through me.
