Fifth Harmony singer Ally Brooke reveals her defining prayer before her X Factor audition

In 2012, Ally Brooke performed a song of praise to Demi Lovato and Britney Spears during an audition for the X Factor. Today, she reflects on the prayer she prayed to God before this decisive moment in her career.

In a recent interview for The Ryan Ries Show, a podcast available on LifeAudio, American artist Ally Brooke looked back on a moment that changed her life. In 2012, she performed Jaci Velasquez's praise song "On My Knees" in front of X Factor judges Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell and LA Reid.

 She reports having put this hearing in the hands of God

"I said, 'God, I love you. Lord, please, if this is meant for me, please open the door. And if not, please shut the door. door.'"

She explains that she somehow tried to persuade God to "shut that door" because she was afraid to do so. “I remember saying, ‘Lord, your will be done,’” she added. 

The artist became a member of Fifth Harmony in 2012, a group consisting of Camila Cabello, Normani, Lauren Jauregui and Dinah Jane, who achieved third place on the television singing competition X Factor. A group that achieved great success, according to Christian headlines.

In addition to her musical journey, Ally Brooke has also written a book entitled "Finding Your Harmony: Dream Big, Have Faith, and Achieve More Than You Can Imagine  ("Find your harmony: dream big, have faith and achieve more than you can imagine" in French, Editor's note), in which she shares her testimony of faith.

On social networks, the American star does not hesitate to talk about Jesus, in order to spread an inspiring message in an industry that she describes as "sometimes obscure".
