Concert prevented by fundamentalists in a church in Carnac: two people will be judged
Two people will be tried for infringement of freedom of expression and intentional violence after incidents in a church in Carnac (Morbihan) provoked by Breton fundamentalist Catholics opposed to the holding of a concert, we learned Thursday from the Lorient public prosecutor's office.

They will be tried on March 13, 2024 for unauthorized demonstration and "concerted obstruction and with threat to the exercise of freedom of expression" for him, and for willful violence for her.
The mayor of Carnac Olivier Lepick filed a complaint after several dozen demonstrators close to the fundamentalist Catholic organization Civitas prevented the holding of an organ concert on May 13 at the Saint-Cornély church in Carnac.
A municipal elected official was slapped to the cries of “back Satan!”, according to the mayor, and the latter had to cancel the concert which the demonstrators accused of programming a profanatory work.
According to the prosecutor, the 29-year-old man spoke to the investigators of a "spontaneous action but denied any hindrance". The woman meanwhile admitted to having been able to "+ slightly push + a person, without having known that it was an elected municipal official".
