A whole team of American basketball players are baptized in the Jordan River in Israel

Basketball players from an American college team, Auburn, are currently in Israel. After visiting several historic sites there, including the Wailing Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, they wanted to share a special moment with each other in the Jordan.

The members of the university basketball team were able to be baptized in the Jordan, as their coach explains to the The Jerusalem Post.

“My players are going to see their Judeo-Christian roots, and for those who want to be baptized in the Jordan, they will. They will walk in the garden where Jesus walked and they will pray at the Western Wall. And they will directly experience the presence of God in the Holy Land. Come see it, you will be changed forever,” Pearl encouraged.

The basketball players also visited the Holocaust museum, the Yad Vashem. " We listened. We learned. We have grown, ”we can read on their Twitter account.
