Sunday, June 26, 57 people were baptized by eleven pastors in a lake in Norderstedt, a town north of Hamburg in Germany.
Several Evangelical Lutheran churches celebrated, Sunday, June 26, a great baptism feast on the banks of the Stadtparksee in Norderstedt in Germany in the presence of 500 believers.
"We must have touched a sensitive chord," says Pastor Bernd Neitzel of the Evangelical-Lutheran parish of Emmaus at picture media. He explains that he did not expect the event to attract so many people.
After a "festive" service, 57 people, aged from three months to 57 years, were baptized by eleven pastors. Some stayed on the beach and were sprayed with water from the lake, while others stood in the middle of the waves, reports Bernd Neitzel.
