“I thank everyone who came to see the Ukrainian premiere of Almost Holy. I apologize to those who had to stay in the aisles and to those who couldn't get in. […] At the world premiere, I was standing on the red carpet right after my flight (I hadn't taken a shower for 2 days!). And now, for the first in Ukraine, I am stranded at the airport. […] I would like to thank the whole “Pilgrim” and “Good Changes Church” team. The standing ovation after the premiere was not for me, it was for you. "

Gennadiy Mokhenko was born in Ukraine. He is at the same time pastor, missionary, academic, journalist, TV presenter, blogger… He is dedicated to street children. Abused children, drug addicts, alcoholics, whose parents often died from the same causes. He adopted 32 of them.

In 1998, he founded the largest rehabilitation center for children " Republic Pilgrim". He is campaigning in a national action for adoption " You will be found", And in prevention actions against drug use," Sick of it" page (in French).

His dream ? A world without orphans. This dream, he shares it during a world tour that he is currently carrying out with former street children. 15 kilometers have already been completed. 000 additional kms are already planned. So many opportunities for him to make everyone aware of this cause.

His nightmare? Tell these children the death of their parent because of drugs, alcohol. He wants to teach these street children the importance of taking care of others. Thus, they are engaged in humanitarian missions in Africa, South America ...

“Street children share what they have and believe it will be useful and bring joy to the children of Kenya. It's really important that kids learn to share what they have. Even if they just live here, life for children in Africa is much more difficult. "

His work reveals the shortcomings of the Ukrainian social system. But above all, he reminds us that every story can have a happy ending.
