Allegations of sexual harassment against Ravi Zacharias confirmed by investigation

“This fault is deeply disturbing and utterly incompatible with the man we have known both publicly and privately for more than four decades of public prosecution. We are heartbroken to learn this, but feel there is a need to be transparent and educate our staff, donors and supporters at this time as the investigation continues. "

Ravi Zacharias International Ministries (RZIM) stated in A press release published Wednesday, December 23, that after investigation there are "convincing and credible" evidence accusations of sexual harassment against Ravi Zacharias. The statement reported that the pastor "has engaged in sexual misconduct over many years."

It was in August 2020, several months after the death of the founder of RZIM that allegations of sexual misconduct were directed against him. The organization hired a law firm to investigate the case "giving them great latitude" in their research. The preliminary report of the law firm, Miller & Martin PLLC, has just confirmed the accusations against Ravi Zacharias.

According to Christianity Today, investigators told RZIM's board that many victims had "spoken candidly and in great detail," confirming allegations by masseuses who worked at two Atlanta spas that the pastor co-owned.

The final report is expected in January and RZIM has committed to making it public. The press release of the organization evokes a fault "deeply disturbing and totally incompatible with the man" that was Ravi Zacharias. They add that they are "heartbroken" by this news but have found it necessary "to be transparent and to inform our staff, our donors and our supporters at this time, even as the investigation continues."

Pending the conclusion of the investigation, RZIM encourages Christians to pray for the victims of Ravi Zacharias as well as for the pastor's family "who have been devastated by this news".
