La Manif Pour Tous press release.

Dstands near train stations, airports, shopping centers, on roundabouts, markets and in the heart of towns and villages, the mobilization against the bioethics bill took on a new shape this weekend. It should end this Sunday at the end of the afternoon.

At the call of associations gathered under the label “Let's walk Children! ", mobilization pickets made it possible to dialogue with the French. On the program: distribution of leaflets around a mulled wine, signing of a petition addressed to Emmanuel Macron, discussions on key measures such as fatherless assisted reproduction, the revolution in parentage, complete deregulation of research on the embryo and the insidious evolution towards surrogacy ... Opponents of the bioethics bill have bet on the local, while the text is currently being studied by the special committee of the Senate, also called "Chamber of the territories". The objective is to encourage parliamentarians to rewrite in depth the text voted in 1st reading in the National Assembly.

These mobilization pickets also enabled the organizers to take the pulse of the population. Unsurprisingly, the French say they are generally in favor of opening a new law. But, when we go a little further, they say they are clearly opposed to fatherless assisted reproduction. For them, we must guarantee the same rights to all children, including those born by assisted reproduction, and in particular the right not to be voluntarily deprived of a father for all life. The exchanges throughout the territory throughout these two days of mobilization also showed that the diversion of medicine and social security does not pass to the French. No more than the idea of inscribing on a birth certificate that a child has two mothers, without distinguishing the one who gives birth.

All these arguments will be at the heart of the hearings organized next week by the Senate special committee. Several associations of “Marchons Enfants! Will be auditioned on Tuesday 3 December. After this weekend of mobilization, it is now time for time and political action before the big national demonstration which will take place on Sunday January 19, 2020 in Paris. This event is already shaping up to be very important. It will take place two days before the start of the examination of the bill in public session in the Senate. The French will be invited to make their voices heard in order to obtain the withdrawal of the text. While the government hopes for the text to be adopted in the summer of 2020, the fight is clearly only beginning. And the mobilization is gaining momentum.
