Cancer actor Jeff Bridges thanks fans for prayers on Twitter

The famous American actor Jeff Bridges who notably played in “The Big Lebowski” announced Monday evening on Twitter that he was suffering from cancer.

THEAmerican actor, Jeff Bridges, 70, revealed on Twitter on October 20 that he had been diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system.

To announce this sad news, the actor chose to use a replica of the cult character "The Dude" he played in the Cohen Brothers' film, "The Big Lebowski": "New Shit has come to light" that one could translate as: "a hell of a piece of news has just come out".

The Oscar-winning actor reassures his fans that even though it is a "serious illness" he feels "lucky to have a good team of doctors" he added that his prognosis was " Well ".

In a second Tweet, Jeff Bridges expresses his gratitude to his family and friends "for their love and support." He also thanks his fans and relatives for "their prayers and their good wishes ”.

Finally, the interpreter of King Kong takes the opportunity to encourage his followers to go and vote a few weeks before the presidential elections opposing the current Republican President Donald Trump to the former Democratic Vice-President, Joe Biden.
