When we talk about sexual slavery, we often think of Southeast Asia, Boko Haram or Daesh.
However, it is on American soil, in Washington State, that 14 people linked to a prostitution network were arrested, spanning several cities and forcing 72 people, including 5 children, to prostitute themselves.
The 72 victims were released.
The FBI refused to indicate the locations of the arrests and the networks. The agents were able to dismantle the network thanks to undercover personnel.
The operation on American soil is part of a larger initiative to fight against sexual slavery in the United States but also in Cambodia, Canada, the Philippines and Thailand.
