Camille's editorial of October 30

Today, I want to talk to you about a subject that is dear to the editorial staff of InfoChrétienne and that I think is important to share, the case of persecuted Christians around the world.

Che last two days, I mentioned news that touch us, that touch me more directly. Namely the effects of confinement or the attack on the Notre-Dame church in Nice.

But during this time we have also published various articles relating stories of persecuted Christians and now I want to highlight them..

I am thinking in particular of the story of Arzoo Raja, a 13-year-old Christian girl forcibly married to a 44-year-old man. If justice persists and validated her forced marriage, the Christians of Pakistan, them, do not give up and are ready to "make every effort".

I also think of the two pastors who were kidnapped, American missionary Philip Walton kidnapped in Niger and Pastor Polycarp Zongo, kidnapped in Nigeria. Both victims of groups affiliated with the Islamic State, in the name of their faith.

But Islamists do not have the prerogative of persecuting Christians, as we show a dramatic report which takes stock of thirty years of persecution in North Korea.

Without forgetting Colombia, where paramilitary groups, associated with a drug trafficking organization, closed at least sixty churches in the north of the country.

These news are painful to read and we can feel powerless in the face of cogs that overtake us and acts that take place on the other side of the world.

However, I think it is important to relate them, to read them and not to forget them.

First, because behind these stories and these testimonies, there are people, Christians, like you, like me and it is important to pay them homage.

Then, because despite our feeling of helplessness we must not forget that we can pray for these situations. Let us not hesitate to ceaselessly hand over persecuted Christians to God.

Finally, because these articles, sometimes, can also edify us, encourage us to persevere in the faith, even when it is difficult.

So, let's reread these stories, let us encourage ourselves, hand over persecuted Christians to God and above all, do not forget them.
