Camille's editorial of November 3

Today the news offers us three subjects of recognition!

Tfirst, news from the young Arzoo Masih, this 13-year-old Christian kidnapped and forcibly married to a 44-year-old man, whose affair seems to be taking a happy turn. Indeed, the Minister of Human Rights, Shireen Mazari, has just intervened in favor of the girl.

Then, the release of Pastor Polycarp Zongo. The pastor kidnapped in Nigeria on October 19 was released on October 30.

Finally, while Turkey was hit by a large-scale earthquake, a four year old girl has just been found miraculously safe and sound, 91 hours after the incident.

Subjects of joy marred by the new terrorist attack which has just hit Europe. After France, it is austria which has just suffered six attacks in its capital, causing several deaths and injuries.

News as a metaphor for our lives reminds us that our attitude of gratitude towards God must be the same in pain as in moments of celebration. Because while our circumstances, like those of the world, are constantly changing, the nature of God never changes.

He's the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

So let us cry with those who are suffering, celebrate the good news and give glory to God, in our times of joy, in our times of doubt and also, when we go through more difficult times.
