In France, at least 323 people without Fixed Domiciles died in the streets in 2016

“These men and women are dead. Their names are published to honor them. Their death is a scandal that must challenge everyone on a personal and collective level, and whatever our political or religious affiliations. "

This is how the collective "The dead in the street", announces this terrible figure, and publishes the names of all those who died in the French streets in 2016. The average age of the victims is about 48 years.

The official number of 323 people is the result of information sent to the collective by individuals, associations, institutions and the media. Unfortunately, it is most certainly inferior to reality. Some studies estimate that only 17% of people who die in the street are registered with the civil registry.
