9 verses that remind us of the nature of God

When we turn our thoughts away from our own expectations and direct them to the truth of who God is, what He has done, and what He has promised to do, something miraculous happens. Our confidence in him is rekindled.

Job has experienced more tragedies in his life than most of us can imagine. When God addressed Job's suffering, he did not give a spiritual pep talk. He provided him with the precise cure for his illness, namely a powerful reminder of who God is (Job 38: 1-18).

Here are some biblical reminders of the character and nature of our God:

“And we, we knew the love that God has for us, and we believed in it. God is love; and he who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. "1 John 4:16.

« For in him were created all things that are in the heavens and on the earth, the visible and the invisible, thrones, dignities, dominions, authorities. All was created by him and for him. Colossians 1:16.

“For the Lord your God is a God of mercy, who will not forsake you, nor destroy you; he will not forget the covenant of your fathers, which he swore to them. Deuteronomy 4:31.

“God is not a man to lie, nor the son of a man to repent. What he said, won't he? What he said, will he not carry out? Numbers 23:19.

“No temptation has come to you that was not human, and God, who is faithful, will not allow you to be tempted beyond your strength; but with temptation he will also prepare the way out, so that you can endure it. "1 Corinthians 10:13.

« The Lord does not delay in fulfilling the promise, as some believe; but he is patient with you, not wanting any to perish, but wanting all to come to repentance. »2 Peter 3: 9.

"Tall excellent grace and every perfect gift come down from above, from the Father of lights, with whom there is neither change nor shadow of variation.  James 1:17.

« For thus saith the Most High, Whose abode is everlasting, and whose name is holy: I dwell in high places and in holiness; But I am with the contrite and humbled man, To revive humiliated spirits, To revive contrite hearts. Isaiah 57:15.

"Don't you know that? have you not learned it? It is the Eternal God, the Eternal One, Who created the ends of the earth; He does not tire, he does not tire; You cannot fathom his intelligence. Isaiah 40:28.

“For it is the righteousness of God to return affliction to those who afflict you. »2 Thessalonians 1: 6
